Wild Bush & Beach Safari – Masai Mara & Diani

Your adventure begins upon departing from Nairobi to Masai Mara. Masai Mara is one of Africa’s greatest wildlife reserves. Enjoy the scenery of the acacia dotted plains, abundant wildlife, and an array of birdlife. Watch out for the pride of lions stalking their prey, observe a herd of elephants and their fascinating social structure among other wildlife. Arrive at camp for lunch. After lunch, you will have time to unpack and settle in as you explore your surroundings. Later, meet with your guide for your game drive. Return to camp for the dinner followed by story sharing and stargazing around the fireplace.

Rise early for a morning game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve. Tea, coffee and snacks, will be ready before you embark on your game drive. Enjoy driving across the vast Mara Plains and keep your eyes open, for anything is possible! Watch out for the herd of elephants and listen to the distinctive lion's roar. Head back to camp for breakfast. Spend the rest of the morning enjoying the tranquil surroundings and the wildlife passing by. After a sumptuous lunch, join your Maasai guide and discover more about Masai Mara. At sunset, you will stopover at a scenic spot to enjoy Sundowner drinks and snacks. Return to Camp for dinner, and story-telling around the fireplace.

Make the most of your last game drive safari as you take in the sights and sounds of this unique region. Marvel as the savanna springs new life before returning to camp for a sumptuous breakfast then have some time to say your goodbyes. Depart the Mara region for Diani. Arrive at the airstrip in time for your direct flight to Diani Beach, Kenya. The flight to Diani is approximately 2 hours. Diani Beach is one of Kenya’s most popular beaches, located in the southern part of Mombasa City. Upon arrival, you will be met at Ukunda Airstrip and transferred to your Resort. Check-in, freshen up and enjoy a sunset walk along the beach to familiarize yourself with the area. Return to the resort in time for dinner and entertainment.

Indulge in an early tropical breakfast and then proceed with your guide on a Dolphin Safari to Wasini Island. The island excursion is done aboard an Arabian-style dhow (a traditional style of sailboat). Wasini Island is a gateway to an underwater wonderland. It is also a great place for water sports. You can try scuba diving and snorkeling and discover the colorful ocean life that lives here. You may also try swimming with dolphins. Enjoy a traditional lunch, served Swahili-style on the beach. As you eat, keep your eyes on the waves for dolphins coming to play. Spend the afternoon at leisure sunbathing on the island. After a short siesta board the Arab dhow to sail back to Diani. Return to the resort for dinner. Later unwind at the Beach Bar, which is perfectly located to overlook the ocean. A nice place to enjoy cocktails, fresh fruit juices, aperitifs and good music.

Sleep in to wake up to a well-prepared late tropical breakfast. After breakfast, head to the beach to relax as you enjoy the sound of gentle waves and the slight breeze of the swaying palm trees one last time. Return to the resort, gather your things ready for your departure. You will check out in the afternoon for your flight back to Nairobi. Arrive in time for your international flight back home. As you embark on your plane, treasure the feeling of having the best bush and beach adventure that Kenya has to offer.
