Of course, the most amazing parts of the vacation were the safaris! Livingston was as excited to see the animals as we were and did everything within his power to locate the big 5, and find the animals in a variety of settings. We came so close at times it took all of our restraint not to touch or feed the animals. Our favorite time was walking with the animals at Lake Naivasha. It was an amazing experience!

Our accommodations surpassed our hopes with monkeys as neighbors and Giselle across the river looking at us as we showered outside (there was also an inside shower). The buffets always had a wide variety of options to ensure even the pickiest of eaters could find things of their liking.

We saw all the big 5 but so much more. We had our own guide and moved to several different places. Each location chosen by Kenneth was great and provided just what we needed. Livingstone our guide/driver spent 10 days with us. He was brilliant. He knew so much which he shared. He was professional but friendly and funny. The game drives were both interesting and exciting. Also worth seeing were the places in between the national parks which showed us the varied lives of people in this beautiful country. Livingstone told us about the country and answered all our questions.

We think by booking directly with a Kenya company we got more. We booked our trip with this smaller company and got the personal touch we wanted.

Would recommend them to anyone and already have.

I came on this tour without expectations 
and everything was better than I could ever... read more imagined. During the time of 7 to 8 months I was mailing back and forth with Kenneth. (I had mailed many many tours but in all of them, kenneth was the one who always reacted on my mails and thats what gave me the confidence to go with his company).
Every question I had, every wish I had he helped me along the way.
As a solo traveler you want to feel safe. And from day 1 until day 15 I felt safe, and good taken care of

I felt that I really really got what I paid for.

In Uganda,

Augustine my driver and guide was amazing. Lots of information. Lots of fun!
I would definetely recommend him❤ I had e great time from day 1. I did not like the hotel in Kampala much but it was for 1 night. It was not the accomodation its self but the vibe actually. In Entebbe and Bwindi they were soooo nice. But still nothing to complain about.

Kenya

Today I cried like a left my home instead of going home....

Everything in Kenya was perfect.

Mara was amazing

And thank you for Efi, my diver, guide and friend, he was the best. I did not feel like a costumer but he made me feel like family.

Tanzania

The accomodation in both Serengeti and Ngorongoro were super. The staff was very very nice 2 me.

Mr Issack was nice and very helpfull.

Everything was nice. He was very attentive.

Things to consider when going on safari is your budget and tips.
Tips is not mandatory but still its a nice gesture. Even if you ara on a budget, tipping is the right thing to do.
Even if it 10$ a day, these guys leave their home and family to be with you 24/7.
They dont leave you at night and go back 2 their family. They stay at the place you stay 2 be ready at 6 in the morning for the game drives

  Tanzania + Zanzibar (July/August 2020): excellent value for money - Tanzania + Zanzibar (July/August 2020)

Kikwetu organised our second safari (after 2016); this time to Tanzania (Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Zanzibar). We were very glad Corona did not interfere too... read more much. On the contrary; we have never had such a great and safe safari. (For the moment tourism is still down a lot, so you will never be able to see the wild animals better than now in 2020). Zawadi Tented Camp was an excellent choice. Kiteserving in Paje/Jambiani (Zanzibar) also.
Kikwetu organised the full trip, which was not easy because of all Corona-measure to be dealt with. But everything went smoothly. Thanks to Kenneth and his staff at Kikwetu in Nairobi
